The provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released 111 recommended items in the sixth batch of representative items of the provincial intangible cultural heritage list, on which Fish Tales implemented by Dongmen Research Base of Quality Education Practice School in our county was selected as provincial "Folk literature" intangible cultural heritage project.

As known to all, Xiangshan is rich in fishery resources and has a profound accumulation of Marine culture and fishing culture. Various fish stories emerge at the historic moment and become an important part of marine culture. The Dongmen Research Base of Xiangshan County Quality Education Practice School, established in 2012, has developed more than 20 derivative courses in recent years with the theme of telling good fishing stories and spreading truth, kindness and beauty, centering on the construction of Marine fishing cultural ecological reserve. As a consequence, it receives more than 10,000 scholars, tourists and students from home and abroad every year, according to the related department.
