Recently, the 2023 rural domestic sewage treatment facility construction and operation and maintenance performance review for 11 districted cities and their recommended excellent counties (cities and districts) in the province has been carried out by Zhejiang Department of Construction, Zhejiang Department of Ecology and Environment, and Zhejiang Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in accordance with the Notice on the Announcement of the Results of the Performance Review of 2023 Rural Domestic Sewage Treatment Work and Xiangshan was awarded Excellent County in the review, marking our county has won honor for six consecutive years.

Aimed at gradually establishing a rural sewage treatment pattern of full coverage of construction, full reception of operation and maintenance, and urban-rural integration, our county has not only solidly promoted the construction of rural living environment management, actively implemented the rectification and sale of idle facilities, but also closely promoted the construction and renovation plan, and issued the implementation plan of rural domestic sewage treatment.

“A full coverage integration template from receiving and handing over to standardized creation has been involved in so that all completed facilities are fully received, fully covered, and fully operated." The relevant person in charge of Xiangshan Housing and Construction Bureau introduced that Xiangshan takes the sewage treatment plant in the central urban area as the headquarters, the four sewage treatment plants (stations) in the east, West Zhou, Dingtang and Hepu as the regional control stations, creating a management operation and maintenance system of one center with four areas.

Meanwhile, our county is actively engaged in building an integrated digital intelligence management platform for urban and rural sewage by introducing a series of innovative measures ranging from health evaluation of sewage treatment terminals and instant query feedback to intelligent sensing, AR recognition, system integration and other digital intelligent technologies to build integrated linkage of urban and rural sewage treatment counties, towns and enterprises, and integrated planning, construction, operation and maintenance, and management processes.

Up to now, the coverage rate of rural domestic sewage treatment facilities in our county is 99.18%, and the effluent water quality of facilities is 96.98%, all of which have reached the target of 2025 ahead of schedule.
