Recently, the Provincial Department of Transport announced the list of outstanding cases of Zhejiang Province's "Beautiful Rural Roads" for 2024. The "A Road in Full Bloom, Welcoming Guests from Afar - Highway of Three-end Features" declared by our county was successfully selected as a thematic case for the "Prosperous Industrial Road".

The 13.5-kilometer-long road starts at Sanjiaodi, connecting with the provincial highway Jiaxiang Line and passing through Meiyang, Yayu, Tawangwang, and Baiyu, and ends at Gaoni Port Area in the west. It is hailed as a demonstration route of fishing village civilization where one can "see the sea, smell the ocean, and taste the seafood". It once ranked first among the most beautiful highways in Ningbo in 2019 for its "high aesthetic appeal, high quality, and high popularity". 

The entire line has completed the "conversion from white to black" (converting cement concrete pavements to asphalt pavements), implemented a two - way two - lane system, and widened the roadbed to 8.5 meters, providing a more comfortable driving experience. In addition, along the road, multiple industries such as large yellow croaker farming, seafood processing, and the integration of culture and tourism are developed, promoting the integrated development of rural roads and key villages and towns. Efforts are being made to advance the construction of the "Marine Sports and Cultural Industry Line along the Colorful Coast at 30° North Latitude", forming a development pattern featuring "diversified business forms, a wide variety of products, branded IPs, and national - scale marketing". Currently, there are a total of 40 homestays and 2 business - star hotels introduced along the line. It has cumulatively attracted millions of tourists and achieved tourism revenue of over 100 million yuan.

In recent years, our county has built on the achievements of creating a national demonstration county for "well - constructed rural roads". We have fully exploited the resource advantages of the colorful coastline and rural roads, and tailored a rural road network system with county roads as the framework, township roads as the branches, and village roads as the veins. We have successively created beautiful roads such as the San'gao Line, the Xiaobaizhang - Dawensha Highway, the Wangjialan - Dongdan Highway, and the Coastal Island - circling "No. 1 Highway". We have promoted the construction of supporting facilities, tourist attractions, and rural tourism along the roads in an integrated manner, driving the realization of prosperity, wealth, and beauty thanks to the roads. Up till now, the total mileage of rural roads open to traffic in the whole county has reached 1,281.89 kilometers. Eight demonstration towns for well - constructed rural roads in Ningbo City and three high - quality have been created.
